Ocean Beach

Ocean Beach is a coastal community in San Diego. To the north is Mission Bay, to the east is Mission Valley, and to the south is Point Loma.

Ocean Beach has a ton of small, local businesses. The city actively opposes large chain retailers. There are great little shops and restaurants to check out. My favorite part of Ocean Beach is dog beach. Any time of year, dogs can run and swim off-leash at dog beach. It's very fun, and the pups love it! Dog beach was founded in 1972, making it one of the first of its kind.

There are numerous local events in OB, such as the OB Street Fair and Chili Cookoff, Jazz Festival, Christmas Parade, and the Farmers Market. OB has a very laid back, almost hippie vibe, where everyone feels welcome. It's a neat part of town to live in or visit!
