University Heights

University Heights is a community near Balboa Park in San Diego. University Heights is known for its central location as well as local restaurants, bars, coffee shops and boutiques. Just south of University Heights is Balboa Park, just west is Hillcrest, just north is Mission Valley, and just east is Normal Heights.

University Heights has a good amount of small businesses, shops, eclectic restaurants and bars. residents often ride their bikes along the main part of town or walk their dogs along the sidewalks. You can ride your bike to Hillcrest, North Park, Kensington, and Normal Heights from University Heights. There are also some great walking/running routes around Balboa Park that can be pretty easily accessed from university heights. University Heights has some fun events, such as the open air market.

I like the main drag of University Heights a lot; there are so many places to check out, and other communities are just a short drive (or bike ride) away. I would recommend it to people who want a neighborhood with a good amount of places within walking and biking distance.
